TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT
Technical Assessment Donegal
A Technical Assessment sets out the current BER and Heat Loss Indicator (HLI) of the home. The Technical Assessment will identify and provide specifications on the most energy efficient upgrades that the homeowner can take to improve the BER rating and HLI.
Upgrading the energy efficiency of your home to reduce your dependence on fossil fuels, reduce your energy bills and make your home more comfortable for you and your family can be a complicated and confusing process. A technical assessment will provide you with the reliable and accurate information you need to start on this journey. A technical assessment by EnerRating allows you to engage more confidently with different professionals and contractors when seeking quotes for your energy upgrade.
SEAI endorse a fabric (walls, roof and floors) first approach. If you are applying for a heat pump grant you will receive a €200 grant towards your technical assessment. If you are availing of the One Stop Shop grant service you will receive a grant of €350 towards your technical assessment.
